Believe it or not, about 2 miles from that location, a side canyon I tried to get into the road was flooded out and and the canyon floor way too muddy to attempt, even on foot. We tried for an hour on foot and couldn't get through. The desert is an amazing place and that it why it is my favorite place to explore.
