You should add Mount Revelstoke National Park, Parkway to Meadows in the Sky to the trip. All paved to Balsam Lake.... go early.I used to take the Yellowhead route into the Okanagan all the time. We stop at Mt Robson all to stretch legs often.

Now we usually take the 1 into the Okanagan as we found it shaves some time off the trip.
And Hemlock Grove or Tall Cedars are great 15 minute "stretch those legs" walks thru the forest.
If you ever do the Rocky Mountain House route definitely stop at Peyto Lake for a stretch. The blue water is magical.
