Long road to nowhere.

I used to take the Yellowhead route into the Okanagan all the time. We stop at Mt Robson all to stretch legs often.

Now we usually take the 1 into the Okanagan as we found it shaves some time off the trip.
You should add Mount Revelstoke National Park, Parkway to Meadows in the Sky to the trip. All paved to Balsam Lake.... go early.
And Hemlock Grove or Tall Cedars are great 15 minute "stretch those legs" walks thru the forest.

If you ever do the Rocky Mountain House route definitely stop at Peyto Lake for a stretch. The blue water is magical.

Never went that way before. Thanks for the tip. Always wanted to explore the David Thompson corridor around Rocky.

Yup, looking down on Farwell Canyon. At the center of the photo, you can see the top of the dunes and the path that gets you there. I never get tired of doing that road or being in that country!!
absolutely, I love the high country too

Heres a good read about the Chilkotin.
