Between the weight and tires, I just can't see that thing being even remotely reliable. 4 link and axle out of a 4runner? A lot of stuff on that has me scratching my head. Then again, I guess it made to to the south pole, so what do I know?

I get that they were going Polar and didn't need a fridge....but I know my first mod would be to figure out where to put one :)

$400,000 to build????????????
Now for only $90,000?????
I doubt I would that paid $90,000 to build it and I know I wouldn't pay $40,000 for it now....would be interesting to meet the person who does buy it though.

they just need to send this to iceland where it can romp on a glacier. Its almost completley useless here.

Cool exterior/design/build but... Am I seeing a GASSER in there??? Not much of a realistic "Polar Expedition" truck if it is.

You'd think that if they were gonna go to that extent they'd take it to Diesel Toyz and have them do the 1KD swap into it. Either that or it's sponsored by an oil company and they're taking a BIG support/fuel truck.

they just need to send this to Iceland where it can romp on a glacier. Its almost completley usleless here.

They could bring it up here to Oregon and take try to take it up the Palmer Ice Field... Closest things they're gonna find in the lower 48.

Cheers

What was the name of the show? I'd like to check that out.

The one I saw was called "World's toughest drive" . It was an alright show, but there was a small bit too much drama thrown in to make it more interesting for the TV. I remember not being able to stand one of them at all,he kept talking down to the rest of the team

Ever try cold starting a diesel at -50?

that's why most diesels aren't shut off when the temp drops that low. Even here in the states at some truck stops the trucks idle all night.
