Looking for a buyer of my ebay Toyota Camper

Change to a sale. Agreed to purchase this on ebay and already paid $500 down. I didn't read the cash only part, and the fellow wants the $3700 in cash by Sunday, or nixes the sale all together, and my $500. My loss, as cannot get to NY this weekend, but could be someones for the $3700, and if you feel like paying $500 my way, then better yet. Ideal would be you pay for it with cash, accept payments for 3 months from me. I'll pony up the fuel for the transport to South Dakota...a campsite or two...:birthday.sml:(bit of a stretch...I know.)

So, heres the particulars of the Mini-Conquest: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-034-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

PM me for the location and if you want, just a $3700, but time is running out on this come Sunday.

Thanks!

Wow! I suppose first class both ways, too...
Nice.
Dude, he is offering to help u out. Should one expect him to pay 1000 in airfare to get u out of your jamb? If u find a better option great, but bad form to piss on someone who offers to help.

Interesting to see that u r (at least) the second buyer of this rig to maybe walk. At this rate he is making a good profit on deposits 😽

Amazing forum misread, GR8ADV. I was attempting humor, and to create dialogue (slaps forehead in dismay...)
Anyway, changed post to a sale. It's interesting, I agree. Clearly coming out ahead in the process...I thought a simple paypal, but missed the devil in the details...so now it's $500 off for anyone who shows up in his locale by Sunday. So, $3700 for a nice little toyota hilux camper with duals, and no 4X4.

Did he give you back your deposit? Went to listing and saw it is already re-listed. Did he not give you until Sunday to see if you could work things out? Have friends in upstate NY who might be able to help?

A quick look at a Yahoo Toyota RV group forum and there were some postings about a 'scam on eBay' with a Toyota RV that has been going on for 10 years. Wonder with the seller's "0" feedback if he is legit. As he has already re-listed it, I think you should be able to get back your deposit. Maybe he'd be willing to meet our friends who live I think in Troy? Any recourse through eBay if he violated any agreement?

Looks like they live less than an hour away.
Wow, that's close... I am pursuing ebay motors, as this guy relisted 3 days ago!:Wow1:
I understand taking my $500 because I can't get payment in cash in his hands before Sunday morning, 8:30am, but relisting it with not just my $500, and the previous attempted buyer, but then listing it within the 7 days I had...

Wow, if I sold a vehicle to someone who put $500 deposit withing 24 hours, I'd be willing to give them an extra week to come and get it.

I hope you paid via paypal. If so, I'd consider opening a dispute and clearly state that it was relisted 3 days after auction end when the terms clearly indicated 7 days for full payment. That's pretty shady...

Best of luck Plainsmuse.

Thanks Toyotero and hrududu! I have had the customer become willing to work with me, after a call to ebay motors. We are both in a bind, and so expects cash payment like now, tomorrow being critical.

Appreciate sentiment to give me another week Toyotero:wings:
