Looking for advice on first truck purchase

Diesels aren't the end all, they surely aren't KING. Sure they have their place, they aren't for every application. I'll stick with my gasser.

Maybe I should ask again.... :coffeedrink:

Show me ONE toyota gasser, or ANY gas motor that will live more than 500k miles while hauling around 10k lbs of truck and payload, while getting better than 15mpg average.

When it comes to hauling ability, lifespan, and economy, diesel IS king.

Many will make excuses about the noise and the smell, but anybody that hauls heavy with a diesel know that that simply isnt a problem, and is EASILY overlooked when you are behind the wheel.

And really, why would anybody even bother looking at NEW trucks right now? The used market is full of great trucks. No need to even bother with new, but Im sure you like to use that "up-sale" as another excuse not to go diesel.

A super clean sub 100k mile diesel in your flavor of manufacturer can be easily had for less than 15k. Hardly expensive.
