Coils and a new FI motor in the 60's sweetly utilitarian body sounds pretty dreamy to me... Dream being the operative word here.

I'd say go 80 in general. The FJ80's are a better deal for the $ these days then 60's, they ride better, they articulate better, and if you are spending all day behind the wheel will wear you down alot less then a 60. An OME suspensions system is considerably less for an 80 then for a 60. I think 60's are cool no doubt, but I dig the upgrades that the 80's had alot. The 3FE is a sweet motor and talking about the lack of oomph is moot when comparing it to a 60 anyway. That's my 2 cents on the whole thing.
