As long as nothing breaks soon I think I pretty much agree with that sentiment. I enjoy driving it. But my first tank was only about 14 MPG. That included a lot of back country snow covered roads, a few trips to town, and a bunch of short trips in town. I guess that's about what I'd expect for that mix of driving. Hell, my pickup is lucky to get 14 on the freeway and that's if I take it real easy on the throttle!

Considering the type of driving you described I would say that 14-MPG is very good.

14 is pretty typical. I range from 10-17 in my 99 depending upon speed and the type of driving.
