About 8 years ago.... maybe 5000 miles.... I put Rocky Mountain springs on my '65 IIa SWB. It had a hard top, and I wanted to run a roof rack, pack it with stuff, you know. So I got the heavy duty springs for the rear.
With the top off, which rarely happens, it really pops up high in the rear. But now, I am running a soft top almost all the time. In fact, I was going to rebuild the hard top and use it in the winter, but then we bought a 110 five door, so there really is no reason to have the hard top on the '65.
So my question is can I pull one of the springs out of the rear to lower it and bring bring the weight bearing ability down to a realistic spot for where this Rover is going to be for the foreseeable future?
