Okay,
So as promised, I have the spread sheet finished (mostly). I would like to apologize up front to anyone that uses the metric system. I'm a native Oregonian and had to make the numbers mesh inside my head, so I converted all of them to US spec. I had to teach myself to use excel along the way. Considering I'd never used it before I think it turned out quite nice. Since this is an unbiased numbers only comparison I strove to get the most accurate numbers for the spreadsheet. Most specs came from the manufacturers website, but there were a few that I sourced from third parties. Thank you all for your help with this. If you see any that are wrong please PM me and I will correct and update the chart. In closing some may ask why I did this. In short, I can't explain exactly. It seemed like the thing to do considering I'm not able to drive two out of the three cars. If you are like me you may understand exactly why I did it and you may find some use for it. As for the spreadsheet, feel free to copy it and share it wherever you'd like. This may be the only thing I ever manage to achieve for humanity. FWIW, enjoy!

The position of the 2nd row seats on the 110 SW changed at the start of the TD5 run - so '98 on wards. This coincided with the 60/40 split but was carried over to the basic 3 seat.

I think 2.5" further back comes to mind...

Look on Ashcroft Transmissions web site and you will find a variety of alternate ring and pinion gearing available for Land Rovers as well as different TC high ratio gearing. You have quite a mix you can choose from to get optimal high and low range overall gearing based on your needs and tire size choice.
Also a few items to make the transfer case and diffs more reliable.

Slightly nitpicking here now, but the Defender does have a locking differential, in the transfercase. But that's just due to the full-time AWD system. None in axles.

I updated my last post with a new improved chart. It now has the price spread of the three models. Marshal asked for a diesel comparison as well, so I went ahead and spec'ed that out as well. I used a Sport model JKU in the diesel chart because Rubicons are not available in that configuration.
