In some ways YES, in other ways NO. I have owned both and both are wonderful for different reasons.

Are you taking about stock versus stock specifications? And for what use? On road or off road?

Don't see anything particularly impressive in this vid to give any judgment. IMHO similarly dressed/equipped 4x4 from any other manufacturer would be just as successful navigating those minor obstacles.

I bet you'll still find more LR3's at the mall than on a trail.....
That truck would have made that look a lot easier if the driver would learn to use a little momentum. He seemed to be driving scared.

I will agree with this, I will not "wheel" a veihical that expencive, because of my cast iron lead foot, I will say that it was driven very weel minded, and that I do say that he had done that course before :sombrero:

LR3's seem to do pretty well off road on traction control alone. I do wonder how the diffs will stand up to extensive use of the tc. Also, even though they do well enough off road, I think their upper limit is much lower than another Land Rover or other vehicle modified with with lockers, lift and larger tires. Their only true performance advantage is that they will also go very well on road as well.
Didn't think he was driving scared at all, remember you break more with momentum.
Plus its not always as fun, if just hammer down and plow through everything.
If the LR3 can do that every other weekend and still take your kids to soccer practice,then it may fit the bill for most of us, that need a dual purpose rig.
