LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

Any rubbing from the larger shoulder blocks? I almost went with those over the ST Maxx's. I still dream, recognizing I don't need them :)

I'm running the STT Pro 275/65/18 with a 1 1/4" recalc lift. Everything fits great, the lift height is perfect. I'd post pics if I knew how... : )

Put your pics on your computer if that is the desire to post them. In the post window above the area you type for the thread you will see on the right side a small greenish colored box with black dots in all four corners. press that and it will ask what picture you want to upload. Boom, you are in and we enjoy your photos..haha

I wish you could get duratracs in 18s in the UK.

Rather stupid they don't offer them here as plenty use them in 19 inch tyre size but 18s would be ideal.

Wonder if the Expo LR4 idea of spacers and 18s would work on mine with the Brembo callipers fitted...

hey guys, I'm new here, recently purchased an LR3.

But in regards to duratracs... they are amazing tires yes.
They wear entirely too fast.

I ran these on a 1990 full size bronco with a 4" lift. they were 33x12.50x15.

The Twin Traction beam front end absolutely chewed through these tires.
I ended up getting some 35x12.50x15 General Grabber Red Letters. Those tires might as well have been made of iron.
Absolutely incredible.

Really wish i could fit some of these on the LR3.

I run LT285/60R18 Grabber AT2's on my LR4. (with spacer to accommodate LR3 wheels) During a recent R&B the tech was amazed at the tread depth for the miles on them.

These Duratracs are rated as a 45K mile tire if they don't last that long you get a free set, whats not to love about them?

Mine came on the Bronco when I bought it, so I both had no clue about the 45k warranty, and also had no proof of purchase.
That said, the bronco is a massive, ridiculous beast, and the TTB front end was poorly designed at best for tire longevity.

I'm positive these tires would last longer on an LR3.

@cmb6s I think those are some of the first pictures I've seen of your LR3, but it looks awesome! The plastidipped wheels look really good on there and I'm a big fan of the KO2's. I think you will end up liking those better than if had gotten Duratracs.

Quick question, what kind of sliders are those? That's my next project for my 4...

Nice work on the Costco steal! Anthracite looks perfect for color. Re: sliders, can you jack from the slider kick bar or nay?

That's a great summary on the 3 different brands. The thing that's crazy to me is how expensive the Terrafirma sliders are (~$1100) for not as much protection and aluminum vs. the Tactical Rovers sliders (~$1300) that go all the way to the frame and are made of steel.

I keep going back and forth on which ones I think I need, like you did as well. I don't do any major rock crawling (not many in the South), but have taken it out on some pretty decent trails and the last thing I want is to get hung up on a big rock or obstacle while out on a long weekend expedition and get body damage.

Do you feel pretty confident in your Terrafirma sliders protecting the body from most obstacles and can they handle the weight of the truck if you get hung up on something?
