LR3 roof rack vs rear tire carrier question

Man I would pay some big money if I could get a center headrest like that.

Hum... has anyone tried to source one and see if it would fit? Probably no longer available

Isn't that just the difference between a 5 seater (adjustable headrests) and a 7 seater (fixed)?

I don't know. I have a 2006 five seat with headrests like that. My left side seat is completely different. When it folds both the center and the left fold together. You can buy them here.

I should post the conclusion to this thread. I visited relative in San Diego over Christmas vacation, and Sergio set me up w/ a BajaRack - picked it up direct at the warehouse.
Very happy with the product and service, and we used it soon thereafter on Mohave Trail trip. Here's a photo that shows a few bundles of wood, a couple 4-gal fuel tanks, and misc chairs, shovel, etc.
Thanks all for advice and collective wisdom; it really did help me make a good choice.

You made a good choice. A roof rack is very versatile and BajaRack makes a nice rack.
