LR3 Spare Tire Carrier

Who is carrying the LR3 spare tire carrier these days? British Pacific is sold out of Rasta's product. I checked Rasta's website and couldn't find a US distributor. Searched here and couldn't find anything recently mentioned. Any help would be appreciated.

I had to change a tire this weekend after a valve went bad. That was a pain in the *** getting the tire out from underneath. It wasn't bad, just not as easy as the Discos. So I thought I would look in to a rear tire carrier. I also bought a 6 ton bottle jack to replace that piece of **** scissor jack. Talk about pain in the ***....geez. For all you guys who's wives/girlfriends are driving LR3/4s. I dont see anyway a lady can change a tire on one of these things with that stupid scissor jack and a full size spare. That is a lot of work.

Thanks in advance.

I did a Curt hitch with the tire gate hitch mount and it did fine- after having a similar experience as you out on the trail.

No thanks...I hate the LR3s hitch system, and I definitely don't care for a spare hanging off of a hitch. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I looked at Lucky8's website and didnt see one. I'll give them a call Monday and ask them.

Thanks

I'm curious what you find out. I'm looking for the same and I'd rather not do the hitch mount.

I've been waiting for one too. The hitch mount looks like it would probably be OK with the Curt hitch, but it would definitely interfere with the backup sensors.

I just ordered one from Rasta a couple weeks ago for my LR4 and got it installed this past week. I contacted them directly via email from their website. They responded timely and i ordered it via email. They shipped it directly to me and it arrived in about 5 days. It is a quality piece of equipment. No rattling or movement at all. I'll be watching to see how it handles on the trails at the Uwharrie Safari next weekend. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to mount a CB antenna to it...

Sweet...how much was it?

I've seen the Rasta and it is better than the front runner. When I put mine on, Rasta was out of stock and thinking about starting production again. If they have started up again, the Rasta is the way to go!

Plus the Rasta solution works with the stock bumper. I don't really want to change out the bumper (no need at this time), but after installing the Curt hitch my spare no longer fits and it takes up too much room in the trunk.
