Ltt-flatdeck "Lil Monster" build.

Made a few changes. Added some more decals to the camper and redone the roof rack using 1 x 2 aluminum tube. Also added airbags to the rear of the FJ. No more sag when towing.

Build looks great! What part of La are you from, S.E. Texas here. Have you weighed it? And what did the trailer weigh after stripping it down?
Thanks. It weighed around 850lbs once stripped down. It now weighs 2180lbs with most of our gear and a 1/2 tank of water.

Today I added a second awning and replaced the blown out original shocks. I didn't realize how bad they was until I took them off, they're damping abilities was non existent, lol. Did some test driving today and it's a noticeable difference going down the road.

Nice job. Excellent end result for anyone, never mind a first effort. Plus you get the satisfaction of knowing you made it (and saved 10s of thousands )
It’s amazing how much money some of the new commercial off-road trailers are, and your chassis is better than most.
Enjoy

Thank's everybody, we're enjoying the heck out of it. We took a quick 2 night trip this weekend to camp on a creek about an hour from home.

Love your build. Do you have an estimate of how much it cost you? I’m going to start my build shortly, picked up the steel for the frame today.

Thank you. I had kept up with cost pretty good until recently. It should be around 8500.00 now. That's including everything. Good luck with your build!

Cool build! I've seen these trailer pop up on Craigslist occasionally and thought they could make a good starting point, but wasn't sure how. Your build looks fantastic. Nice work.

Made another successful trip, this time 3500 miles total from Louisiana up to Colorado and back. Luckily for me the passenger front wheel bearing went bad on the FJ 2 weeks before leaving for our trip. I say lucky because changing it at home was way better than the alternative of fixing it on side of the road somewhere. Had a great trip and didn't break anything. Our route took us through Texas and New Mexico on the way up and then over to Kansas and down through Missouri and Arkansas on the way home. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1yWj6l5bwOB3jRMD_7_4tTxiOF9y6Wpjt&usp=sharing
