I am selling my 1986 M1008 which I drove round trip from Dallas to Anchorage this summer, 8000 miles. The only problem was a fuel filter leak. I installed new 3.73 gears for better fuel mileage and higher top speed. Many new parts before the trip: new belts, new hoses, new 24v starter, new shocks, new steering damper and so on. When I returned home I found the tires had been recalled, so the truck now has 4 new tires, less than 5 miles. The camper has standard features, but no shower.
