I was able to build the battery box support this afternoon and secure the battery box to the trailer. I was also able to get the battery charger, shore plug installed as well as install the 8 gange switch panel. Tomorrow morning I am planing on finishing the wiring by installing the fuse panel.
I took the trailer out for the night on it first madien voyage. I still have a few things to workout but overall I am happy with the build. By far of all the upgrade I did I would have to say the electric brakes is my favorite Mod. I drove 305 miles yesterday and drove back today. The brakes worked flawless.
I spent all day today working on the Battery box. I now have two cabin lights, rear backup trailer lights, two blower fans inside the cab and a Bluetooth radio with weather alert. I'm pretty happy with the results.
Well I finally did it. Brand new Tepui Grand Sabana
Purchased and trying to figure out the best way to install it on the trailer. In order to make the installation a one person process I purchased a receiver lift and 16" receiver tube. The receiver tube hooks up to the rear leveling bracket where I keep the license plate. The jack plugs into the receiver.
I don't think the military lights came with reverse light option. If you look at the picture of the topper I have I added lights to it which have white reverse lights on it. In order to make it work I used one of the blackout wires from the main junction box under the trailer and spliced in the reverse Lee's from the 7 pin cable. I extended the wire up to the new lights on the topper.
I removed the covers from the black-out lights, installed a regular white bulb, and wired the black-out light circuit into the reverse connection of the hitch harness.
