keeping the axle and wheels original for a while...

The axles are in excellent shape and I have three good tires and wheels so there is no hurry I will upgrade to a 3500 lb axles and matching wheels when I upgrade the Jeep someday after finding work again.

Have you towed with the spare on yet? I'm curious if the extra weight on the back makes the tounge bounce much. I'd like to add a spare to the back of my trailer as well but was concerned about the weight. Just curious about your experience.

Hard to say it makes a difference in with the trailer empty. With a load in the trailer, no theres no difference.

Thanks for the reply. Nice work on your trailer. Did you build the brackets/gaurds around your tail lights or were you able to locate them somewhere?

I don't remember the cost but they are wicked thick and solid. The frame will bend before these do. I used the exact same holes the original military lights mounted to.
