Thanks Rich, I will have to pick up some of that 3M.
I had tried regular Griots Wax Residue Remover, and even their wax before with no luck on those marks.

Finally got my Airtop mounted up. Overall I'm happy with the Airtop, but I have not spent a night in it yet. The wife and I climbed up in there and we have enough room, but it is cozy. I was concerned about the width, but I think it will be fine. I'm loving the setup and take down times, which are significantly better than my old ARB. I do have a few issues with the packaging though. The crating was a nice touch and there was no visible damage to the box, but after it was unboxed we found some superficial damage to the bottom of the tent between the mounting rails. 2 rather large scratches. Additionally, all the tape used to keep the styrofoam in place left a significant amount of tape residue. It's going to take forever and a lot of elbow grease to clean it up. I guess I expected more attention to detail on a $3K tent.

The foam is there for additional protection, of course. When we unbox a tent we use a clean cloth and a can of WD-40 - just spray the tape residue and wipe off - comes clean very quickly. Once you have it ready to mount, a coat of UV resistant marine wax is good preventative maintenance - before it's on the vehicle. Only takes a few minutes.

We are pleased that Cristo has decided to represent our tents. He is a detail oriented, quality conscious person and we feel he will do a great job for our customers.

I am looking for a Maggiolina or Columbus cartop tent from Autohome. I have only done internet research and have not seen one. I came across your post on 2/13/2012 and you mentioned that you are from Loveland,CO and would be willing to show your Maggiolina Extreme. Is the Maggiolina/Autohome decal on top of the gel coat? I'd like to remove any labeling for a more integrated look.
