-Integrated in chassis construction are all holdings and brackets for a front and rear five-ton Rockinger hydraulic winch.
-Winch fitted with remote steering control
-Fitted onto the chassis is a self-greasing system which automatically greases in intervals all 38 greasing points for shafts, suspension, bearings etc.
-Also fitted onto the chassis is a computerized inflating-deflating air system to all four wheels, which means that depending on the road surface the wheels can be inflated or deflated accordingly.
Engine -Deutz F8L513, eight-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke Diesel engine with 12.8 litres volume -Power output: 258 hp without turbo; 328 hp with turbo -Integrated in the engine is an engine-preheating system which automatically activates as soon as the temperature drops to sub-zero.
Gearbox -Type WSK 400 + S 9-90 + A 600/3 D manufactured by ZF. -Torque converter, transmission and transfer case block consisting of: Hydrodynamic torque converter with lock-up clutch and 420mm-diameter single-plate dry clutch; torque increase of converter max. 2,5 times; lock-synchronised nine-speed gearbox with ratio range of 6.4 to 1.0; one reverse gear; transfer case with lockable differential; torque distribution front axle to rear axle = 1:1:97; ration 1.02; PTO N 70/1 c for max. 3 430 Nm (350 mkp) at u = 0,506 engine speed. (Eight-speed plus crawl gear for on-road/off-road)
-Engine and gearbox are mounted above the chassis which allows the truck to wade through water up to 2.20 metres deep. Air inlets and exhausts are engineered accordingly.
Steering -Recirculating ball hydro-steering type 8070, manufactured by ZF. Suspension/axle location -Progressively-acting helical springs with hollow rubber springs, hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers; axle location by means of one wishbone and two trailing arms per axle.
Axles Planetary final drive axles = ratio i = 5,92 Front axle type VA 7 – 0750 S with differential lock Rear axle type H 7 - 0880 S with differential lock Tyres Five single tyres Radial tyres 14.00 R 20 / 18 PR Disc wheels 10.00 V-20
Brake system -Service brake: automatic load-sensitive two-circuit air-brake: front wheels braked hydraulically
-Auxiliary and parking brake: mechanical, linkage-less parking brake steplessly actuated by means of hand lever and acting directly on rear wheels through spring-loaded brake cylinders. Auxiliary brake for use on hill starts.
Engine brake: pneumatically actuated -Wheel brakes: Simplex internal expanding brakes automatically adjusted front and rear by means of hydraulic cylinders/linkage adjusters.
Electrical system -24 V system with 28 V/27 A three-phase alternator -2 x 12 V/255 Ah batteries. -600 W computerized solar panels acting on two 12 V 450 Ah batteries located in vehicle’s rear -1 500 W invertor/transformer with 220 V outside connector
-Entire electrical system interlinked via computer, therefore complete vehicle can be powered by 220 V outside source, as well as by onboard 2 KW generator or alternatively by all onboard batteries recharged by solar panels.
Fuel system -The truck has a total fuel-carrying capacity of 1 216 litres of Diesel fuel in three separate tanks – two aluminium tanks at the back; one stainless steel tank on the right hand side of the frame. All tanks are inter-connected via pipes and pumps. -The total tank system has two independent fuel-filtering systems to filter water and dirt and guarantee a clean fuel supply. -Furthermore, a self-refueling pump and filter system has been installed on the right hand side of the truck, with which all tanks can be filled.
Water supply system Integrated in the living cabin is a complex water system containing a 500 litre water tank and two independent and highly efficient water filtering and cleaning systems. Water is pumped to the sink, shower, toilet, outside shower and reservoir. The water supply system is constructed in such a way that one can even pump unclean or grey water into the tanks, and the filtering-cleaning system will change it into drinking water.
Living quarters -Basic dimensions of cabin: Total length: 5.00 metres Total width: 2.49 metres Total height: 2.76 metres (hydraulic roof up) -The cabin is constructed from 62 millimetre, totally glued, highly resistant sandwich material with 90 RG foam core. Due to the fact that the whole cabin has been glued, the temperature coefficient is homogenous. -All doors and hatches are dust-sealed by means of double-rubber seals, in steps, inside and out. All windows are double-insulated and tinted, with integrated mosquito nets and roller blinds. -Built into the front of the cabin are a shower, toilet, wash basin and storage cupboard; separated by a door.
-In front of the bathroom is a self-contained kitchen consisting of hot and cold water water supply, basin, four-flame gas cooker, two-flame Diesel cooker, oven, fridge/deep-freeze unit, and kitchen cupboards. -In the back of the living cabin are the sitting and sleeping facilities, suitable for three persons. Built into the cabin are:
• Total water under-floor heating (temperature-regulated via computer)
• Additional radiator heating beneath all windows and in the bathroom
• Air-conditioning with eight different outlets, operating independently from the heating system
• Hot water preparation system with on-demand hot water supply
• Gas installation with two gas containers including all fittings and valves
• MAN-tronic satellite location and tracking system linked to MAN central computer in Munich, Germany
• Satellite navigation system via GPS
• SAT-phone/fax computer communication system via satellite link
• Second independent hydraulic system for hydraulic roof operating
• Inlets for Diesel, water, gas and electricity
• Storage facilities all around the cabin, accessible from outside via hatches, dust-proofed
The above description covers only the most important features. Many more exist which makes this vehicle unique. The information provided above is accurate to our best knowledge but without guarantee. Please note that the only binding document will be the purchase contract between the Purchaser and trust lawyer. The vehicle is sold out of a trust (second owner). The truck is currently stored in an internationally known storage facility in South Africa. It is in outstanding condition and is ready to be driven out and shipped to any location worldwide
