Only enhances my "need to go".
For those who don't read french, lately the truck was immobilised by a full diesel particle filter. The local mechanic blew it out and they're rolling again (so the particles are out there just the same as if there was no filter) The MAN dealer where they serviced it before setting off "said" he had checked it...
My personal opinion is that now they're out of Europe they can simply take it out and run without it, wrap it up and only put it back when they return.
Opinions/exprience?
I also suppose that the DPFs in Europs don't block so frequently because the truck gets up some speed and burns it off (or produces less); travelling in developing countries means driving at a more leisurely pace. Perhaps those with DPFs can confirm this: Does driving slowly block the DPF more?
Anyway happy travels to you, and let's hope there are no more problems.

I am going to head over tot he blog and have a look there! I am so happy to hear you are out and going! Very exciting! I am also happy to see the strips on the door and the yellow lights in tact. To me it seems to keep the truck looking like it might just be some work truck, and I Hope it keeps you in a bit of urban camouflage!

Hello,
We handle their education by ourselves. It's part of the purpose of our journey. We got all the required books before departure and we spend 2 hours teaching 4 or 5 times a week.

I always thought that was so unfair. I mean were my teachers so negligent and incompetent in the public school system that I had to be in school for eight hours per day, and homeschool kids only require two hours per day! What the heck!

Thanks for the replies.
The trip in Morocco is over now, it's been a nice adventure ! We're back in Belgium now, visiting friends and family, and fixing or improving some things on the truck.
There's a boat that could take our truck to South America on November 27th, we'll probably book that one. Then the family will take a flight to Buenos Aires early December.
Does anyone have tips on insurance (both for the sea crossing and for third party in South America) ?
