Are they any good for a small, compact electric cooler....... or junk?

I found one at a garage sale for $40......

hi there, do you mean a THERMOELECTRIC COOLERS what size it is, I got a 40 quart thermoelectric from coleman, it will keep your chocolates real good in temperatures 40 centigrade and drinks in a good temperature, not too cold, I used it alot when we go to the dunes, and most of the time the temperature is between 35 to 42 c, bread, cheese ham and some salchichas argentinas a chocolates for my wife, got it for two months and no problem.

If you had tried a search there are tons of threads on here and the web about them. And at $40 you paid too much.

I didn't buy it.....was gonna go back , if they are worthwhile

They only have the ability to cool to about 40 degree F below ambient tempt. So if its 100 degrees out the coldest its getting is maybe 60.

Wow. Sounds like even our Igloo does a better job than the Coleman.
