My dog is about 110 lbs. Not huge, but big enough. The standard latch / clip things on most leashes work fine. That one just looks like one of those cheap aluminum fake caribiners that would pull apart. If it is strong then I'm sure it would work fine.

We have the strength ratings on those somewhere but we are using a new end now, I will see if I can get a picture of those soon.

The bags I am selling here for $30 are the big red gear bags. The ones on the website are small bags. I can get measurements tomorrow when I am at the shop of the large bags, but there was a picture taken by a customer of one of the big bags in this thread.

From what we have seen the safety thimble is not a product that we currently want to offer. Since it is made form aluminum it has a tendency to shred when it comes into contact with rocks, and leaves sharp jagged edges that can harm the operator and damage the rope as well.
