Maybe Don’t Use Your Cybertruck For Towing

Better energy density would be nice. Meatloaf said it best: two outta three ain't bad

Lithium Ion is pretty much maxed out on what it can deliver, and rechargeable Lithium metal batteries have the obstacles that they've been trying to overcome for over a decade and still nothing. We may get surprised, but it's better to keep improving the things we know will work, such as adding charging infra with pull through stalls for vehicles with trailers. Tesla started building those, and their navigation software now specifically shows them when towing.

This kind of goes back to the old saying, just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

For kicks, I looked up the payload capacity of a couple of Toyotas. The payload capacity might surprise you.

Cross
Curb weight 3296
GVWR 4455
Payload 1159

Tacoma TRD sport
Curb weight 4330
GVWR 5775
Payload 1445

Sienna Platinum
Curb weight 4610
GVWR 6170
Payload 1560

Just because I can load more into a minivan doesn't mean I am going to get one to haul stuff home from Home Depot.
