Yeah but think about the boating/yachting world. Unicats, Earthroamers etc, are cheap compared to many boats/yachts people buy.Even a low single digit millionaire can't even afford these half to mil dollar pickup campers. Toys for the very wealthy that can just buy them with ca$h. With current interest rates, this half mil truck would be over a million dollars over a 15 or 20 year RV loan.
3/4" to 1" thick Lexan is damn near indestructible. It will scratch, as it is a softer plastic than acrylic, but this is what gives it the ability to flex instead of shatter. Lexan/Makrolon can be coated with anti-scratch coatings, which help somewhat, but they do not offer the performance of marine-grade or toughened glass. There is no comparison.I'm curious as well. But then, a rig this size isn't really intended to be a rig for overhead-branch-strewn trails. No way to fit a rig like this on our local mountain trails. Like all these types of rigs, more of an open space or desert rig.
