They are aware of it. There was a theory that for what ever reason, that thread ended up being some unfortunate collateral damage when we were nuking spam, but that theory didn't play out. The search continues . . .

No, it was a permanent delete, something only an admin can do. Likely in the best-intended effort of clearing out a bunch of old spam threads.
