Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
I've been thinking about building a Mitsubishi based camper/RV for a while now, i've noticed there's no "average joe" expedition campers just floating around for sale. Not everybody is an equipped and skilled at custom fabricator either, If i were to build a fully equipped camper on a reasonable budget would any of you guys be interested?
I'll build it for my self and just drive it around with a for sale tag on it kind of deal, if someone buys it i'll build another and so on. I figure the cost would be between 8k and 15k depending on things like gas vs diesel, leaf vs coil springs, how much upholstery i need to do, motor maintenance and other variables like armor, gearing, locking diffs.
I'll get into Fuso's later but for right now i'm talking light duty trucks. I'm not looking to get rich, but i think it would be a good way to repurpose a few Montero's that will otherwise never see offroad or be put to good use and make a little money on the side to do some camping trips.
