I have built an off road expedition vehicle/motorhome on ta SWB Canter that used to be a local fire truck. It had only 10000km on the clock. With the help of my friends at All Terrain Fabrication in Mundaring, Western Australia it has taken two years to complete.
Tyres & wheels: Toyo 285/70R19.5 x6
Front hydraulic winch, rear electric, tyre lift winch
Hydraulic lift point on each corner ( debugging & tyre repairs) remote controlled
On board 240V genset, solar (3 x BP 64W) panels, truch 24V alternator, inverters and cross connected
Turbocharged, diesel gas convesion, on board air, 280l fuel, 210l potable water, 90l grey, vacuum WC, gas hot water, inside/outside showers, twin shocks all around, airbag suspension assist, fiama awnings & hatches, full LED lights inside/outside, microwave, sink, 2 burner stove, gas oven, crawl through to cab, stratos suspension seats, waeco fridges, Polaris multifunction GPS, DVD, Cameras

The vehicle is very capable and can access most areas a land cruiser can, the only restriction being height on some overgrown trails. it's a real escape vehicle.

I'm sure I speak on behalf of many other forum members when I say we would like to see pics! :)
The link to the 31 pictures in the Picasa Web gallery worked correctly for me, and it's worth going to take a look. Here's a teaser:

Very nice work, and the sort of thing to make us very jealous.

I really like all of the windows that are in that thing. Seems most of the builds on here windows are quite an afterthought.

I posted before he added that in an edit.
Now, I'll try to use my super-duper proxy powers to see if I can view that link amidst all the blockages that my company has put in place!

Very very nice. Do I spy some of those Aeon rubber springs in the suspension system? If so, can you comment upon their effectiveness. If they're not Aeon, what are they?
