I am planning on buying a 15-passenger Chevy Express van, removing the seats, and installing minimalist, light weight camping components. My plan is to disturb the factory-installed wall, floor and ceiling finishes as little as possible. Has anyone had experience:
(1) How to anchor components through the wall and floor finishes? For example, could I bolt wood boards on the surface of the existing walls to provide anchoring for components?
(2) How to add 1 or more roof fans? Can this be done without disturbing the multiple AC outlets in the ceiling?
(3) How to exchange fixed windows for ones that open?
From Expedition Portal threads and other sources, I've seen photos of structure behind some of the wall, floor and ceiling finishes, so I have some idea of what's located where.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
