I did only the west side of the trail due to our trip destination and timing. I had friends on the trail a few days earlier and they said it was impassable in their very capable 4x4 long travel Rams on 37s. My experience was that Soda Dry Lake was very wet, but the rest of the trail seemed dry and had very good traction for those with mud terrain tires. The river crossing in Afton Canyon was almost 3' deep. I plan to do the whole trail this winter so I can check it off my bucket list!
