Montero Sport - junkyard leaf spring options?

Hey all!


One of my best friends just joined the Montero (Sport) fold, and we're looking to do a few basic things on as much of a budget as possible. It's a '98, so the rear is leaf sprung. I'm wondering...does anyone know of a junkyard solution that would provide approximately a 2-inch lift? If you have any suggestions, let me know. Thanks in advance!

Why not just use blocks of some sort?

Blocks wouldn't increase the load capacity at all...I was hoping to find something sprung a little heavier. But, the OME leaf pack is pretty cheap, so I think I'll just recommend he go that route. I have the OME HD setup on mine, and it's perfectly level when fully loaded with gear/fluids/etc. And unloaded, it feels like a damn Ferrari compared to his stock suspension. LOL.

Why not just use blocks of some sort?

Its an axle over leaf setup, so a block would lower it.
