I think those 'recessed" lights are just thin aftermarket driving lights mounted to the bumper.

********!!! Yeah the jeep has alot of lights and their all HID's. I drive truck for a living and have a FEW HID's on it but this guy is nuts. And yes I idle where he has to rip on it. He shoulda bought lockers instead of lights imo. He had a rear tire off the ground on that rock, and i just drove up and then proceeded forward off of it. in his defence... he does do alot of highway driving and we are in the yukon, which during winter has 20 + hours of darkness. I don't know the brand of rack feet. they came with the rack which came on the pajero i purchased. The "recessed lights" are just that. They're fullsize 7" headlites. I cut the grill to fit them. This particular location is on mt macyntire. western backdrop to whitehorse yukon. The trail to access this is seconds from my front door nyeah nyeah. hehehe

Thanks for confirming my suspicion on the lights. I like the cleaner profile look as well as the idea that it might protect them better from trail brush. Have you ever run into any cooling issues on long hauls with reduced airflow from the lights being tucked into the grill like that? I doubt it considering you location/lat but I am thinking of something similar for the front end of mine and want to know of any problems. Also, could you get a close up picture of your rack feet, especially the way they mount to the rain rail?
