Looks like a hilux front axle, could be a hilux with an l200 body,or an l200 with a hilux axle.

Thought you couldn't get either in the states, that shape L200 are shocking i don't know how they sold so many

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
It's a '93 Hilux that has been rolled but in good shape mechanically, going to rebuild it L200 style AND when stuff breaks it's getting Mutsu parts for extra awesomness.

Anybody know anyone looking for a Diesel Montero? :sombrero:

So your putting a L200 / Mighty Max body on the Hilux frame is what I'm gathering.
How involved is this project going to be ? Looking forward to the buld thread.

Something like that, I was going to swap a 1st gen Mighty Max body on but I have since decided to build from scratch. This way i can build it more 3rd gen style, going to make my own fenders and stuff. So instead of having regular old sheetmetal fenders they can be rock proof (for when you need to lean on some boulders).

Almost ready for wheeling season, just need to finish the fenders and tie the front cage into the cab cage. Next up new seats, seatbelts, headlamps and turnsignals Right now i'm working on swapping 4.63 gears into a SR rear axle to be swapped into the rear of this truck. In the end my Montero and my pickup will have basically the same axle set front and rear so i can keep the same spares for both trucks.

Here's what we're doing to Nick's truck in the background, still lots to do on his truck. It's been a challenge working around the misshapen cab.

I'm using Onsail's bender, It's a JD2 model 32. Onsail bought the Swag air over hydraulic kit, we bought a cylinder from HF and i built a roll around stand for it and welded up the Swag brackets and installed them. It's pretty awesome
