Surprised how little snow you guys have. Especially after getting pounded so hard not too long ago.

Anyone heard of Martin portable refrigerators, they sell them at Sail locations here in Canada.

The model they carry is 45L and is $375 regular price, they often have 20% off camping supplies so that would put it somewhere below $300 (plus tax).

It also has the option to run off propane, says it will maintain the cold temperature for 35 days on a 20lb (standard bbq size) cylinder. I am assuming it uses propane evaporation as the coolant. I dont know how much energy this thing draws, but for those without a dual battery setup offers a nice bit of reassurance to slap on a 1lb propane tank and let it run over night if you are worried.

Not much out their on the internet, just wondering if anyone had heard of them or has any experience

Never heard of them. Edgestar is typically the recommended cheaper alternative to the ARB fridge.

Right. Figured it was worth a look see considering the price. Other have said that triple power style (AC/DC/C3H8) aren't particularily efficient.

Spent a large amount of this weekend helping my brother install a 2" OME lift on his 2000 XJ

see here (pictures to come later tonight):
http://www.expeditionportal.com/for...0-XJ-Limited-quot-SuperStock-quot-Build/page3

I am definitely feeling a lift now, I think I will get some stiffer t-bars and have a custom leaf pack made, just a question of when, not if. The leafs out back are starting to look awfully tired.

I am away in a rural away this week for work, lots of time spent up here by me in the last few years so I have a few nice backroads that break up the driving, this is in a wetland area and essentially has a river running down both banks of the road

DO it! :)

It looks taller than the XJ as-is but could be the pic?

Yeah if you look at the bottom of the bumpers mine(the xj) is slightly higher and I'm only running 225/75R16. Where as he is running 235/85R16.

We'll take measurements Easter weekend and let you know.

I say a 3" and 255/85R16. Right guys?:sombrero:

Here are a few more pictures of my travels this week, nothing special, few pictures of the beach in Kincardine before a large storm rolled in and few from Mennonite country in Midwestern Ontario on my drive home yesterday

I have also decided the direction that I will be going with my lift.

I bottomed out going over a couple speed bumps in a parking lot yesterday, wasn't loaded and wasn't going fast, poor leaves are on their last legs.

The plan is to get a stock set of rear leaves, with an adjustable length shackle (see below) as well as replace the front t-bars with something stiffer.

https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/xterra-adjustable-lift-shackles-p-5612.html

https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/xterra-torsion-bars-p-101.html

This should allow me to adjust the suspension and find the right lift height. The shackles will give me the ability to run 1/2", 1", 1.5" or 2" of lift, which is the perfect range I am looking for. I can adjust the t-bars to make the front sit level to whatever I pick out back.

Will be looking into doing this within the next couple months, just have to find a place to source the parts up here or else I will have to order from the US

Looking good Mortonm! Not the beach I'm used to here in SoCal, but very pretty nonetheless, almost Cape Cod-like. :)

And that sounds like the primo setup for a smaller lift, should work well for you, but why not get lifted springs, and skip the shackles? I forget the options available, probably not Deaver, but I assume you could avoid the same sagging issue with an upgrade.

mostly cost, any of the big name companies (Deaver, Alcan among others) I am sure could come up with something perfect, but getting to get Canada would be killer on shipping/duty/taxes.

The only wild card left is to look into a local custom manufacturer and get them to build in extra load capacity and height at the same time.
