If anyone really wants one of these Ex Mil rigs I do buy for others.
Unless you have an account w/ them, and have bought in the past, you will wait for something like 90 days to get cleared. And that's after you win the bid & they take your money :)
I usually get clearance in 7-10 (been doing this for a while). I can also do previews, and recoveries, at the Barstow lot.

TLow, so what do your brokerage services run?

Way back, page 14 I think, there is an expandable van someone saying "who knew"

I had an M292, 5 ton I believe, with an expandable van in the Army. Slide out on both sides. Only two in the division I think, the CG headquarters with the CG's quarters and my air conditioning/heated intelligence data processing center which I stayed in as an E-4, 5 in the early 70s! LOL! My CSM, E-9 was really jealous staying in a GP small.

Anyway, the Army has had slide out vans since the 60's I know, mine wasn't new. The M292 would make a great overlander!

I charge mostly expenses (fuel, parts, etc.) + an hourly (based on what I'm doing, preview, recovery, over-hauling / making ready to be driven somewhere else, delivering, etc.) I'm not licensed to drive the 5 tons but I can do 2 1/2s >, I also do trailers.
We are less that 100 miles from Barstow's site and I've been there many times.

That M292 would have been a 2 1/2 ton, w/ a multi-fuel engine. Right now it's 5tons, the M9xx series, and once in a while something from the M8xx series (which would be the M934 & the M820 Expansibles). That M292 would be a rare find, and they say it was too heavy for the engine :(
Here's some photos of one.

Remember, 5 tons require a CDL, unless transformed into an RV (in all states, . . . I think) I'm not going to profess to knowing all the state laws about that.

Thanks for the memories! That's it, guess it's bigger than I remember and I was driving one on secondary roads in Germany.... You can see I had it made in the field!
