Very cool truck! I read this on tapatalk which cuts off the end of the title...so the whole time I was reading your first post I was thinking wow nice build but this guy is smoking crack asking for $120k! Then I got to the actual price and thought, man this guy might still be smoking something, that price is too low!

Really nice vehicle and love that you've been out using it. GLWS!

Doing another JK Habitat, with a twist or two. Want to get a new JK before Jeep changes the Wrangler platform.

actually, finding low/no mileage units of a popular platform that just changed body styles is never an issue. i think its a bigger risk to not wait and see what comes out. it could be vast improvement overall. your current rig isnt going to devalue much more than it has.

You know.... statistics clearly show that there are dramatically more problems/failures with a new platform for all vehicles, particulary on the first two years. The same goes with the aftermarket, anxious to be first on the market with new enhancements, that a) may not even be needed b) may themselves be problematic, without having had time for proper field testing. The JK has the most aftermarket products of any vehicle in the world. The market has forced many of the weaker products off the market, or at the very least, reputations are earned good and bad. Just saying.

******** the new vehicles coming out today are absolutely better then that of the last gen. Gone are the days of wait and see. Technology is advancing faster then obviously people's minds !
Your statement was true maybe 10 to 15 years ago . But for those that want the newest and the best to for it . ie the 2012 wrangler with penstar motor and better trans, yep tons of problems there lol. I could go on but I think...yes I will the new tundra , the new diesel grand Cherokees , we could be here all day :) . You need to recheck your stats and come live in the 21st century with the rest of us.
Not just my opinion it's a fact ....and for your 70' approach to life I leave you with this " it's a fact jack! " ********

This is a great build and I'd be all over it like white on rice if it was just me and the wife and dogs. But since I'll have 2 or 3 kids in tow for the next 6 or 8 years, I've decided to build my own expo vehicle/trailer combo. I do have one question for you regarding the Motech LS swap. I'm looking at doing basically the same thing (haven't decided if I'm doing 5.3 or 6.2 yet). I know Motech makes the harnesses, but for your vehicle, do you know if it can pass emissions? This will be critical for me as I live in the Denver, CO area and we have to comply here. Thanks and good luck with the sale!

Motech tells me that standard swap pass emissions in most states, but more has to be modified for CA.

CA is like it's own country, the smog laws are complex and prevent us from owning awesome vehicles like this.

Post 2001 vehicles require a visual inspection and OBD II scan in CA. This is part of the new star check smog program.

It will not pass CA smog as it sits now, regardless of how it is tuned.

You may be able to get it in CA if it is registered in another state for a year, and US title is issued that reflects a V8 gas engine. Not sure if this will work though.

The 2012 and 13 pentastar motors had cylinder head failures. Just saying.
