Mounting an awning to a "roll bar" style rack.

hey all, i was wondering i anyone had any luck or know of anyone that makes a clamp style bracket that i could use to mount my awning to my roof rack. i have the smittybilt SRC rack, and its about a 2in diameter tubing rack and the awning obviously has an "L" bracket. anyone know of anyone that had to figure this out?

Something like this may work. You would just need to find one for your tubing size.

I used two 2" exhaust clamps (u-bolts) and a couple lengths of 3/4" x 1/8" aluminum flat stock bent to form brackets for my DIY awning. My awning is mounted to an MBRP roof rack that's made up of 2" tubing.

I used these on my Yakima rack and it is a very nice and elegant solution. Mine worked great and was super easy to install.
But, yes they are on the expensive side.
