I pieced these together with some scrap unistrut and knobs from Lowes. I've added threaded stand offs to the posts to give the knobs something to torque down on. Originally planned on mounting them to the side of my Yak basket but have changed vehicles (wagon to truck) and haven't decided where I want to carry them now.

I want to get some of these type traction slabs, but I'll probably get a generic to save some money. I was trying to figure out how to mount them to my Previa All-Trac. Something just ocurred to me. I have a roof rack and some cheap kayak attachments. I almost wonder if they'd just sit in those. I could just strap them up. Hmmmm, I might have to find someone that has some so I can see if that'll work.

Those are Smitty element boards correct? How have they worked for you? Are they capable of using them as a bridge without them breaking? Thanks
