I kind of hate the high top look, but other than that I love my cap. Came with a tool box on the passenger side behind the windoor so I can keep all of my small things organized and locked, plus the interior space is really nice. All for less than some of the cap places charge to color match.

Thanks for the kind words about our photos! I try to make our site interesting to visit even if the products aren't of interest to the person visiting.

Get with me through email, I'd love to talk more about becoming a traction jack dealer. I also think the Awn-Lock would be an excellent choice for you. It'll look sweet on your truck, and you will never have an issue with durability.

Awesome, thanks. Will send over an e-mail shortly.

July 02, 2016 - Crashed.

This is by no means a total loos, or mayor damage.

What am mad *** hell about is that the idiot that hit my Taco was on the phone texting, on an Interstate..!!! Who does that...?!?!?!?!?! Now my F@#$%en truck has an accident report, so mad..!!

So, long story short...

I was on the merge lane going into the interstate entrance, maybe doing 4 mph or so... Traffic was at a stand still, I look in my rear view mirror, see the guy on the phone, I tried to move forward as I saw the the car not stopping, but I had a car in front of me so couldn't move then.. BOOOMMM..! guy hit's us..!!
We must have waited for about an hour till the FHP came, did the report now to fight with his bull**** insurance company....!!

DONE..!!

Wheelers Off-Road Leaf Bushings.

I mounted up the Wheelers Off-Road bushings. These new leaf pack bushings fit a lot tighter and there is no space between the O.E. mount and spring eye, this should keep everything more .tight and free of squeaks.!!!

I will continue to monitor this and see if the noise/squeak is 100% gone..

October 1st - 3rd /// Camping & Wheeling Trip.

Went camping/light wheeling with my buddy Marco, on October 1st - 3rd. The weather cooperated on the first 2 nights but on the 3rd night the forecast showed heavy rain. 5 kids in a muggy campsite wasn't going to be fun. We packed up after breakfast and headed east to Daytona - New Smyrna Beach. The trip was fun, we just didn't really love the campsite, very crowded and bunched up. but the trails and the beach were on point. Here are some pictures.

Looks like a good time, how do you like having a topper?

I really like it, @Tatted Mine needs some TLC a few hinges and shocks are bad, the cross bars also need some love as well as the bed/cap seal. Over all the Topper does a good job keeping all the gear dry and organized. If you do go with this option, get the windoors and the flip down front window. These where the main options I was looking for and just couldn't see paying the premium for a new one. Only down fall is you can't fit very tall items, but in my case I pull the Toppet off when I need the cargo space.

Super nice build! I have an 09 DCLB and am getting ready to put on tires and wheels. Did you re-gear your truck with the larger tires?

@slukenelson - Nope, haven't needed to. The truck has had the following sizes and never lost power or felt sluggish IMHO. From what I have read, and seen on the forums on the 4.0L with the auto transmission will need 4.88 gears if you run a 35" tall tire. Good luck with the build...!!

1.) 255/85 R16" - KM2 BFGoodrich.
2.) 285/75 R16" - KO/TA BFGoodrich.
3.) 34" 10.50 R17" - KO2 BFGoodrich.
4.) 285/75 R16" - KO2 BFGoodrich.

I think I may have an addiction...

I picked up a Snugtop cheap, $500 in excellent shape, I will be adding windoors on the sides, our last 10 trip we left the camper at home and tent camped, it was a pain unloading every night to set up, I will never have a truck without a topper again, we love the functionality of it.

@Tatted - Couldn't agree more my friend. $500.00 is a killer deal, is the topper the same color as your Tacoma..? I really wish I didn't have to re-paint mine. I searched for a long time, was looking for specific options so color wasn't a big deal. I am glad it isn't RED HAHAHAHAHA...!! Also, I was looking only for an A.R.E. Topper, IMHO they have always been the king, and the fit and finish is on point.

Ah..!!! I don't know why I thought you had a Tacoma... Sorry, it's that all the cool kid's drive Tacoma's. ********..!!!! (Just messing around).
That does look really good, I liked the black top when I had the Bestop Supertop. I guess if mine was Black it wouldn't be such a big deal to me. Your Tundra looks bad ***..!!
