Throw them in a snowboard bag and the airlines might not care.

They get a little heavy when you stack a bunch of them, but I found a black cordura keyboard case on CraigsList that should hold at least six MaxTrax. I think some of the cases come with a pair of wheels (like luggage), or you could use a gun case with wheels. If you stack them in a case, just wrap the handles with a small velcro strip to keep the stack together. Used keyboard cases are pretty cheap.

For anyone interested in the Mr. Emergency Traction Tracks, I bought 1 and used it in a recovery this past weekend. I recovered a 5th gen 4 Runner in over a foot of snow and they worked well. Here's a link to some pictures in my build thread:
