Multipurpose GPS

my wife has a Garmin Nuvi (not sure the model) that she uses daily to get get around town and I was looking into getting another GPS, but would like to have the driving directions and also the ability to do geocacheing, without spending a fortune. what is out there that would allow this?

for basic stuff, with full street maps and the ability to take it in your pocket, go for another nuvi, just get the barebones 200 series, heck you can find one on craigs for under $100

Get the Nuvi 500. It will give you the turn by turn like your wife's GPS. In addition it has Topo Maps preloaded and comes out of the box capable of paperless geocacheing (sp).

I bought one for $299.00 from REI.com, but I think you can find them cheaper at other online retailers.
