Nice set up Overland, the dual-side doors are great.

If you ever think of sharing the plans for the box/bumper mount let me know. Would be a nice addition to our rig. I've toyed with the idea of the swingaway style boxes but mounting to the hitch would put a damper on our off-road activities. Wife would luv to have that option.

Ditto on sharing the plans for that rear bumper.

I got friends that could cut and fab that steel for favours.

What year is your van? Mine is 2007 with barn doors on both sides. I have been thinking about turning the driver side doors into a slide-out, RV style.

Hey guys, thanks for the love on the bumper, it's all at my powder coat shop now. The van is a 2006

As for plans, I pulled off the stocker and started grabbing steel out the scrap pile. Might be some sharpie doodles left on my fab table :roost:

Bumper looks great. I can't tell from the pictures, do the doors still open 180, or is the bumper hinge in the way?

Great looking rig! I just picked up a 08 Express and was thinking of doing something similar with the rear windows. I was thinking of adding some mesh pockets for increased storage too.

Yes, they are covered with Masonite panels that are wrapped in automotive carpet. May make walls with slide-able windows for morning views but the back windows and doors work well for that

How's the bike rack holding up?

I'm looking at options for bumper mount storage and bike rack. I'm probably not going to make my own. Thinking about aluminess but I'd love to hear how the single swing out is compared to a double. It might be worth it to make something custom.

Can anybody ID the wheels overland_drifter is using? He doesn't seem to be that active on here.

They look like ProComp 69 series alloys to me, but those have 4.75" BS and -6mm of offset in the 17" size. I really like the look, but the 5" BS and 0mm offset wheels overland_drifter is running look identical and seem like a more ideal fit.

How did you handle the box covering your license plate in back??
And love the swing out, you did a great job.
Any pics of it painted ??
Thanks
Choff
