My Antenna section thoughts?

I have a Gladiator with a Canopy Camper that has solar so cannot mount antenna's on it.
I don't want door, bumper or hood mounts.
So here is what I'm doing.
Trailrax roof rack Front Half - for the Alu-Cab Canopy Camper.
Making a .125" x 53.375" x 23" Aluminum plate that will attach to the top of the rack giving me as much ground plane area as I can get.
GMRS Midland MXT 575 paired to a Laird TE Connectivity BB4502N
Kenwood TM-71A 2m/70cm to a Larson NMO-2/70SM I'd like to find a equivalent one in black?

Thanks.

I’ve also got a Gladiator with an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper on the back, also with a big 200W solar panel on most of the roof panel. I put two antenna mounts on the rearmost slanted section, so they’re below the roofline and won’t get scraped off by passing low branches (in 3 years of use I already have tons of scrape marks on the roof).

One has a permanent 19” UHF/VHF with a spring base (so it can fold out of the way for the branches), oriented vertical with the pop-up closed for use while driving. Seems to be working well so far.

Second one is oriented to be vertical when the pop-up is open, and I screw on a ATAS-120a screwdriver antenna when camped and have some free time to work HF. Removed and stowed when driving.

Both have coax secured along the left inside edge of the roof panel, down to near the hinge, worked under the Velcro edge of the tent, through the left inner raceway. VHF/UHF drops down at the front bulkhead, through the plastic plug at the lower left of the bed, into the cab via the air vent at the back left, then into a permanently mounted 50W VHF/UHF radio. HF coax drops down the rearmost driver side in a split loom alongside the stock wiring, and down to a SO239 on my electrical panel in the back left. I’ve bonded the camper body to the bed pretty well, but not much more than that. Seems to work OK, I often hit Japan and the Carolinas from CA/NV. Maybe it could be better, IDK

I can add some more photos if you’re curious but here it is in deployed mode; you can see both antennas.

Thanks! Do you have a GMRS..I'll be using that for group trail meets.
Mine, without the rack on it.
