Still need to do a 2nd coat, and paint the lid black (if I have time before I leave Thursday).

Ducked out at lunch today, and painted the lid. One more coat of silver, and some touch up's on the lid and I think I'm good to go!! Fortunately the weather should be holding out for me over the next couple of days to get this done.

Honestly, no clue... but it can't be too much... I can lift it and easily move it around. When it's loaded, it's slightly more work (but still fairly easy), and if it's fairly flat, I can still move it around.

Due to lifting my jeep, it now sits nose high - which is unfortunate for a couple reasons... one because I don't like it like that, and two because the way my tent is setup, my feet are at the front. However, until I figure out what the heck I'm doing with the two trailers, I'm not going to do anything drastic.

I'm not sure what's up with my paint... but the silver isn't coming out right. The first coat was great. I probably put it on too thick, but whatever. However the 2nd coat, is coming out a LOT darker, and is streaking... almost as if the paint/oil is separating. I scrapped the stir stick to the bottom of the can... and found all sorts of lumpy **** down there (and this is just after HH shook up the can). So I'm not sure what to think... But for this trip this weekend, I've decided that 1 coat of silver is more than enough! Besides the primer I put on ran like crazy, and overall the job looks meh from closer than 5 feet. So... again once I decided what the heck I'm going to do... I'll look at either sanding it all down, and re-doing it... or having someone do it for me. Will see, but am in no rush what so ever.

Hmm, I see all my pictures disappeared. Anyway, haven't done much with the trailer other than use it. But seeing how my pull out kitchen is at least a year away, I decided to make a counter top for my stove and food prep. Most of my camping is done in campgrounds where this isn't needed, but this will be a Godsend for when I'm out and about in unprepared sites.

Grabbed a 3/4" piece of plywood and cut it to size (63x24). Everyone said it would just wedge in between the fender and the lip of the body, but I really didn't believe them... yet that's exactly how it works. I cut a couple small groves for the nuts on the top of the fender and used a couple of turnbuckles to anchor the counter to the trailer. Technically I don't think this was needed, as it seemed pretty stable before... however I decided that the last thing I wanted to do was bump this while drunk or something and knock it over. With the turnbuckles there's zero movement in it now. I don't think I'd stand on it, but I figure it's solid enough that my friends kid could play on it if they wanted to.

I was worried about rain lastnight, and am off camping today, so will sand down the corners/edges and paint this up next week when I'm back.
