It is a body compound with a special backing, better than bondo, cheaper than welding. Will be invisible once the liner goes on.

Nice, I like it. Welding is a pain in the @$$ with all of the plastic and paint on everything. I used aluminum tape and it's never looked good enough in my mind.

Body work and bed liner goes on next week, along with a light bar (I hope) and some minor fixes/welds. Bumper is almost complete in CAD, just need a few more measurements then off to the laser cutting shop and final fitment before month end.

Confirmed Monday (this coming week) will finish all the cosmetics and tweaks, steel will be cut for bumper, then a week or two till final assembly and fitment. Have to squeeze in the CB install somewhere in there too before Nov 2 and two weeks in Manhattan.

BONUS: worked a deal on a 21.5" light bar to go in this week for the front bumper. More details to come.

BTW how do you like the Ironman suspension?

The flares widen the body beyond the tires and sliders, which equals body damage on the trail. I get a little front bumper, tire, slider, then tire, and then ultimately rear bumper to protect the body better when it is done.

the Iron Man Suspension is awesome. Great on and off road, a little bouncy until I get the rear properly weighed down with armor and gear (sooon!)

Disassembled the AHC control panel and used the round knob to host the CB hookup. Turned out really cool.

Got her back between steps on the rear bumper and side work. Bumper is still in cardboard but should be done by end of month:

Screws will be pulled and patched in front fenders (oversight):

Invented a LATCH based hi-lift mount (did it a while ago, detailed pics):

Did a Cobra stealth install by hollowing out the AHC controls and mounting the CB hook up there:
