I was just thinking about your truck the other day, but forgot your username. What's the goal of selling your old V8 swap and putting in the new 4.7? Lower mileage engine?

It's been a long time so I'll give a small update.
The reason for me selling the old v8 swap was to do a 6bt swap, but it was too much work to be cutting the firewall redoing everything under the dash. My next option was a 4bt or a Duramax diesel from one of those GM and Isuzu box trucks. After doing lots of research I was not sure if I wanted to deal with cold climate issue or having to fiddle with tuning to get everything running rite. Finally I just decided on the newer gen 4.7 with a turbo. It should be just as reliable but more user friendly than a diesel.

Anyway onto the pics.

Now reinforcing the front frame, used the trailgear plates.

Made my own out of 1/4 for the rear, might be overkill but oh well.

How it sits at the moment, no it will not be a 6x6 but I think that could be a possibility in the future.
