We’re not traveling by vehicle, yet. We’re using air, bus, train, and rental cars. So, I don’t feel that we qualify to post trip reports here. After Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Malaysia, & Borneo were hoping to be in Australia where we want to purchase a vehicle to travel for an extendedGhostdancer.....I too remember hanging out in the Keys back in the 70's and I recall loving it back then. I had hitchhiked down the east coast, and the Keys were my last stop in the U.S. before flying on to Caracas, Venezuela.....those were those days my friend.....
I'm curious now.....what means of transportation are you guys using ? Do you have any type of social media ? No plans to post your travels on XP ?
Our original plan was to spend a single day & night here, but I surprised myself, and we stayed for four.....the ever changing clouds that passed over the Teton Mountain Range, and the ever changing face of the mountains seemed to have mesmerized me....I became addicted.....and I just couldn't leave.....

We spent our days walking along the forest service roads around camp.....just to stretch our legs and to get our daily exercise.....reading yet another great David Roberts book.....

When we got bored with reading & walking locally, we'd take the Jeep out to explore in the mountains.....

Unless your trips are underground I think they apply. We’re not traveling by vehicle, yet. We’re using air, bus, train, and rental cars. So, I don’t feel that we qualify to post trip reports here. After Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Malaysia, & Borneo were hoping to be in Australia where we want to purchase a vehicle to travel for an extended
period. Then I’ll have something to post.
X2Unless your trips are underground I think they apply.
Well it was a poor joke based on a thread on the definition of overlanding a year or two ago. My point was that if his trip was "over" "land" then they qualify. I however didn't think about caves so the joke was not a good one. I am glad you caught that.Ace.....nope.....
Jupiter58.....thanks.....
Ghostdancer.....I'd be interested in your story unless you're staying at Marriotts, wearing golf shirts, ironed slacks, and sneakers & sampling fine cuisines.....I like my dirtbags.....
ITTOG / PNWY.....I'm not getting the underground thing.....Turkey has an amazing cave system and if he's caving there, then I'm 100 % into his story.....
Arjan.....thanks.....the dogs are into it for sure.....but then they're into most anything as you well know.....they're Goldens.....
Once again the Jeep was our means of travel as we sought to explore more of the Wind River Mountain Range....

The road crossed many crystal clear streams.....

I found it nearly impossible not to stop at every single one, and to marvel at the beauty and the clarity of the now ice cold waters.....

The deer were abundant but that in no way diminished their beauty to me.....I never tire of veiwing any type of wildlife.....they are much like the mountains & the streams.....

As we drove higher into the mountains, on the north side of the slope, the pines grew dense, and in places the road was still frozen, and remnants of an earlier snowfall still remained.....
