My M101A2 build in progress

I bought an M101A2 military trailer a few months ago. The canvas top was not what I wanted, so I removed it and sold it. I found a utility bed topper and it fit almost perfect (had to remove the tailgate). The surge brake system was weak -- it would lock when the pulling vehicle was stopping hard. I replaced the shock under the pintle (that job sucked btw).
I finally decided which color to paint it, and knocked out that project a few weeks ago. I had a local fabrication shop assemble the rack on top and just painted it today. I bolted the RTT and basket this evening.
Im quite pleased with the outcome, I wanted to contribute because I have trolled this forum and stolen some ideas.

That's a great looking setup! I've got an M101A2 that I use, too. Your's looks really slick with that shell.

Ha! I love build threads that are one paragraph! I bought it, I fixed it up, now it's done!

Seriously, nice job. That is one sweet setup. I have a 101 that I am in the planning stage on what to do. What kind of top did you put on it? I am guessing an 8' bed topper from a F-350?

Looks like an ARE commercial topper. I've got one on my Dodge with the same barn doors, they're great.

Cool simple build. My M1101 is still on the back burner. Having the inside enclosed will be nice and help to keep dust out.

when i had mine - the topper was an ARE commercial, Barn doors on the rear, full length shelf on the drivers side and a gull wing on the right.

this is exactly correct-A.R.E. used from a small appliance repairman who lost his truck in a fire- bolted almost exactly perfect- the camper shell narrows slightly from the front to the back, i made a platform to catch the lip with 2 inch angle iron.
