My M416 Trailer Build

What I would really like is to find a set of matching rims for it. They are still pretty hard to find when you only want 2. I can get them at the dealer or on ebay, but the price is a little too high for me ATM.

I may have to repaint the trailer rims now like you suggest since I have it in my mind now lol.

PM sent.

Thanks for the link on the bumper. If you plan to stay on stock tires a while like I do here's the ticket to matching wheels. We have already put 26k on my 2012 Jk the first year and it's time for tires before winter. I always find people putting bigger tires and wheels on their Jk and selling the stockers cheap, usally less than what I can get new tires alone for. So I am buying a set of them and using the current half decent tread but like new wheels on my JK for the trailer. 2013 rubicon wheels bring more $$ than my 17" sport alloys but I have found sets of 5 with less than 2k miles for $1200

Started the beginning of my lid. Welded angle iron around the top of the tub and made sure it was perfectly square. This will also be a good base to weld the hinges too.

How out of square was it? Mine looked square until we welded the angle iron!

It wasn't so much out of square as it was not straight down each length. Corner to corner was about 2 inches off when i started. The right side had a major wave in it, and the rear probably a 1.5 inch wave. I used 1.5 inch angle iron and my hi-lift to straighten it out as much as possible. The angle iron top frame is about 1/8 difference corner to corner, so I think it came out pretty good.

Ok got the Raptor liner in the tub finished. I think it came out looking awesome. Really changes the dynamic of how the trailer looks.

Hopefully Monday I get to start building the lid itself.

Curious what axle you went with and where you got it. I pick up my 416 project on Monday. Reading your thread for ideas.

Thanks,
Micah
