Need to find a proper way to secure the tank. Of course it will be outside on the rack. Got the thing filled, though.

Great kit.

The red plates and bowls...what are they made of? I've been thinking of getting Melamine. Seems to hold up well.

A lot of people like the various plastics, but you might also consider Corelle. I like 'em better because they're easier to clean up after a greasy meal than plastic. Also can be picked up second-hand at thrift stores.

The only drawback is that even though they are pretty hard to break, when they do break the explode into a hundred razors. At least one of my bowls did when dropped on concrete.

I have that same grill - it's awesome. The tank hose can fit (store) under the grate (between the burners) FWIW.

A trick I picked up is to get an old milk crate and put the tank inside that - gives it a broader bottom to prevent tipping and an easy way to secure/lash down.
May want to look into regs in your area - driving around with a full propane tank on your roof may get the attention of your local constabulary.

I just happen to have two milk crates, love using them. As a matter of fact I threw them on the roof rack yesterday and wanted to use it to store my fuel can too, possibly. I drove with it inside on the way to get it purged and filled, and put in on the roof on the way home. I should look into the regs on carrying propane...good point. Don't foresee it being a problem with proper security. I want to permanently put and ring inside the rack for the propane, not too high, just enough to prevent movement.

Good minds think alike...I have the hose under the grill
